Welcome

Welcome!  This collection of blog posts is dedicated to a series of devotional thoughts and quotes centred on using the Lord's Prayer as a pattern for our own prayers.
During the six weeks of Lent leading up to Easter, we will consider each of Jesus six phrases that comprise His perfect prayer.
Our Father who is in Heaven.
Holy is Your Name.
Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil/the evil one.

Matthew 6:9-11
By signing up, each day you will receive a brief excerpt by email and/or text that helps you to further consider how Jesus' example of prayer can guide your prayers.  You will also receive a link where you can read and further contemplate that day's devotional thought.
The content of each day is meant to help you ponder how each phrase becomes a theme for how you pray.
QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF
  • How have you tended to approach and use the Lord's Prayer?
  • How can it helpful?
  • Why might it be dangerous?
